1. Impeller: The rotating element located inside the pump housing is the core component of the centrifugal pump. The impeller has multiple curved blades that impart centrifugal force to the fluid as it rotates.
2. Pump housing: The container surrounding the impeller, its shape is usually designed as a box, the purpose is to direct the fluid from the edge of the impeller to the outlet line, while gradually slowing down the fluid speed, its kinetic energy into static energy.
3. Sealing device: includes packing box and mechanical seal to prevent fluid leakage, while preventing air from entering the pump chamber.
4. Bearings and shaft seals: bearings support the rotating shaft of the impeller to ensure smooth rotation; The shaft seal is designed to prevent fluid leakage and contaminant intrusion.
When working, the motor drives the pump shaft to rotate through the coupling, and then drives the impeller to rotate together. When the fluid in the impeller is thrown out, a low pressure area is formed in the center of the impeller, forcing the fluid at the inlet end to be sucked into the pump, and the process is repeated. As the fluid continues to be accelerated and exported, its pressure and energy gradually increase, and finally discharge from the
outlet of the pump housing to complete the conveying task.
